This cheery yellow hardcover book contains the ‘greatest hits’ from Pepper & Me, a team who are passionate about delicious, easy food. This is their third cookbook, and the new volume focuses on making weeknight meals a joy to cook, featuring one-pot dishes, salads, mains, baking, and desserts, as well as their signature bites. They have a guide to their seasoning products (making it easy to swap if you don’t have something in the pantry) and more than 90 delicious recipes.
There are so many mouth-watering recipes in this, but hopefully this gives you a bit of a taste of the contents:
Staff Sausage Rolls – the best we have ever tasted!
Perfect Queso Dip – you are all sorted for your next Mexican night.
Whipped Feta – we can see why this condiment is so popular.
Chicken, Cranberry & Brie Salad – such a brilliant combination of ingredients.
Fix the World Soup – well, it’s actually chicken and lentil soup, but I agree, this soup is very yummy.
Beef, Spinach & Potato Curry – this is an easy curry, but very flavourful. A recipe you will cook again and again.
Lemon Chicken Drumsticks – so herby and lemony, this is a great weeknight meal.
Chicken & Kumara Pie – apparently one of the original recipes, and brought back because it is so popular with people.
Carrot Cake Slab – a fabulous recipe that is easy to make and tastes delicious.
Biscoff-stuff New York Cookies – so oozy and gooey and popular with everyone.
Obviously, the recipes in this cookbook are best using the Pepper & Me seasoning products, but it is great that they have provided information for swapping them out if you don’t have them in your cupboards. Fans of Pepper & Me will love this new cookbook, and I predict they will get more enthusiastic customers who have enjoyed the recipes. The photographs are appealing, and the recipes are easy to follow – this is food that home cooks can actually achieve without too much fuss.
