Note to Self Journal by Rebekah Ballagh

Rebekah Ballagh returns with effective tools and cute illustrations to help navigate anxiety, self-doubt and tough times. Full disclosure; last year I was delighted to review Rebekah’s book, Note to Self, so I was looking forward to the publication of her interactive journal too.

Rebekah Ballagh’s Note to Self Journal is packed with inspiring ways to create calm, confidence and clarity in your life. If you have never delved into the self-help genre, this is the perfect place to start! The Note to Self Journal is the ideal accompaniment for Note to Self but also a great introduction for new readers.

Rebekah includes breathing exercises, grounding practices, mindfulness tools, check-ins, visualisations, writing prompts and more. Collectively, these elements create a personal toolbox of bite-sized tips and emotional insights.

There’s no denying that the combination of Rebekah’s background as a qualified counsellor and her talent as an illustrator add a special element. Her diverse and inclusive illustrations are complemented by inspiring full colour design throughout .

Following her qualification as a counsellor and post-graduate training in anxiety, Rebekah worked in a wide range of mental health roles including youth work, brief intervention services, anxiety coaching and group work. After three years working as a high school counsellor, she realised there were no relevant resources that felt fun and colourful, so she began developing her own. She began by illustrating therapy tips and sharing them on Instagram. The popular community @journey_to_wellness_ now has over 350,000 followers!

Recently, we spoke with Rebekah about the process of writing her journal. Read her author Q&A and follow Rebekah online.
