Detective Beans is back to solve all the mysteries that you need solved, and even the ones you don’t need solved. He’s that good. In between playing Scrabble, having sleepovers and trips to the beach, there’s always time for crime solving.

Whether it’s who ate Mum’s doughnuts, who has lost their handbag in the park, which pigeon stole King Chip, or even a burgled diamond ring, the adorable kitty Beans is ready for anything. In addition to these small capers, Adventures in Cat Town features behind-the-scenes footage of the crime-solving documentary directed by Beans best friend, Biscuits, as well as comics, stories, and even horoscopes illustrated by Beans.

The second in author and illustrator Li Chen's Detective Beans series, this cute cat detective will steal his way into readers' hearts. There's no need to worry if this is your first time meeting Beans, this book is a standalone, although I highly recommend Detective Beans: The Case of the Missing Hat.

Adventures in Cat Town is a series of short graphic stories, making it a super effective and great format for younger readers making the move to read independently.

Chen's stories are hilarious, with some of the jokes becoming regulars in our household - King Chip anyone?

Her illustrations are just as hilarious, and cute to boot. Full of colour, expression and detail, there's so much to take in. Beans and Biscuits, as well as all the other residents of Cat Town, are adorable.

Detective Beans is the purrfect package - bright, bubbly, fun and funny. An absolute favourite that will delight every reader, young and old.
