Over the past two years, Little Green Man Productions has been delighting audiences with their highly innovative glow-in-the-dark puppet show Heaven & Earth: Rangi and Papa, a magical ride through Māori myth and legend.

Packing a van with 45 puppets (including a 5-metre Taniwha!), the company has toured from the Far North down to South Auckland and to Porirua. In 2017 and 2018, the bi-lingual show achieved sellout shows, and now more than 15,000 adults and children have seen the show. The show is touring again from May this year, expanding to 16 venues nationwide as the even more spectacular Matariki Glow Show.

Based on Matariki myths, this visual spectacle wows littlies and adults alike with its original soundtrack, Te Reo, and UV puppets which are all operated by 4 talented performers. The show is the concept of Sarah Burren, the creative genius and director behind Northlandbased Little Green Man Productions.

In collaboration with Little Green Man Productions, children’s multimedia company Fuzzy Duckling Media have adapted the concept to screen by producing two music videos using the songs and puppets from the show. This will make it possible for all our tamariki to enjoy the characters and songs from this production anytime and anywhere—at school, at home, with their friends, families and teachers—bringing mātauranga Māori to the next generation.
