The biggest challenge in reviewing this book was getting my hands on it. It sat on my desk and everyone who saw it had to pick it up and peruse the contents. It is a delightful package of amazing photos and insightful dialogue on Australia’s natural beauty and the very best places to visit. The authors have managed four laps of the continent and over 280,000 kilometres so if it’s not here it’s probably not worth seeing.
From remote waterholes, amazing beaches and coastline to the incredible hinterland every page offers a spectacular montage of what is both wonderful and diverse about Australia.
Aussies love their vans, and I don’t mean camper vans but rather the ones you tow behind your ute over extreme terrain to reach these amazing locations. They come in all shapes and sizes and are everywhere.
The list of destinations is spectacular and goes from waterfalls, swimming holes, beaches, lakes, National Parks, hikes, day trips, sunsets and sunrises and most importantly remote pubs.
There are easy instructions on how to get there, things to do, useful tips and where to stay, check out remote pubs again.
This book will sit on your coffee table providing inspiration and motivation to head across the ditch, hitch up your van and take to the road.
