Architect and interior designer Jason Chongue founded The Plant Society in 2016, and he’s been in demand for designing indoor and outdoor gardens ever since. His latest book shares invaluable tips and know-how. It includes 40 step-by-step projects, design templates and photographs, and a comprehensive guide to 80-plus of his go-to plants.
Whether you have some design and gardening experience, or you are a newbie, this comprehensive and inspirational book has something for everyone. It includes design templates, information on how to group plants, and style fundamentals such as scale, texture, colour and shape.
This book is inspiring; my copy now has Post-it notes on many of the pages with ideas we can incorporate into our home, and we have also noted the plants that will work in different spaces. How wonderful to know the names of the plants before visiting the garden centre rather than randomly purchasing plants that look good on the day but may be unsuitable for what we are aiming for long-term.
Reflecting the quality of the content, this handsome hardback is presented in a very appealing way. Its photographs make you stop and take in the finer details, and the overall design palette is calm and reflective.
Highly recommended for anyone wanting to incorporate more plants into their interior and exterior surroundings.
