The Keto All Day Cookbook by Martina Slajerova

In response to a discussion about getting healthy and a way of eating that has been successful for me, a friend said to me recently said “So you’re keto, right?”

I didn’t know how to answer, because – through a process of trial and error – inspired by a health crisis, I have gradually changed my diet to include mostly vegetables with meat, seeds, and nuts, some fruit and dairy.

When The Keto All Day Cookbook arrived and I went through the delicious recipes page by page, it turns out that I might just be following a keto diet. Who knew? I certainly didn’t. As a diabetic I have been told that ketosis is a dangerous state. Is it? Once again, I don’t know.

All I know is that I have not felt better for years. I have more energy, peace of mind, better sleep and overall better health than I have experienced in a long time. Additionally I am losing weight and have improved my blood pressure and blood sugars. So what’s not to like about a dietary way of life which promotes good health and well-being?

And this absolutely delightful little cookbook is crammed with more than 100 recipes for following a keto way of life – all day, every day - which looks to me like a brilliant aspiration for anyone looking to improve their health.

So, front to back, here’s a sample of the recipes you might choose to follow if this way of life has appeal: Keto Cheese Sauce Three ways; Italian sausage frittata; Hungarian Goulash; Mexican Chicken Bowls; Thai Curry Tray Bake; Almond Bliss Bars; Creamy Dark Hot Chocolate, Keto “Peanut” Butter Cups and Chimichurri. Yum!

Every recipe is clear, straightforward, comes with an image and easy to read keys to, among others, tell you in an instant whether it is gluten free, dairy free, sugar free, nut free, nightshade free or egg free.

To my way of thinking, this is a recipe book for our times. It is one which will be easily assimilated into your current way of life and one which will also be user-friendly for anyone with a food allergy or fod-map issue.

Whoop! Whoop!
