This is Dana Winter’s first picture book, and I hope there will be many more from this talented writer and illustrator.
Thank You follows Felix’s story, who discovers the magic of nature when the moon tempts him from his bed.
He goes into the night making friends with different creatures and even some of the elements before they help him find his way home away.
This is a gentle, beautiful story with gorgeous illustrations in a soft palette.
Thank You is a lovely celebration of nature for children, and I love that children are encouraged to daydream, make a wish, be like a bee, say thank you, and much more.
There are some teaching notes in the back of the book which will kick start some interesting conversations. Thank You has a timeless quality and is a picture book that will be enjoyed by many generations of children.
