The title of this book perfectly sums up the delightful content when you see the gorgeous photography and lovely quotes – cat lovers everywhere will smile when they see this attractive book. Meow is so popular it is now on its third edition!
The book is laid out so that each photo is accompanied by a memorable quote, and editor Anouska Jones has done a fabulous job in compiling these quotes. Some of my favourites are:
‘The ideal of calm exists in a sitting cat,’ Jules Reynard (accompanied by a photo of a very serene looking puss!).
‘A dog will flatter you, but you have to flatter the cat,’ George Mikes. How true!
‘If we treated everyone we met with the same affection we bestow upon our favourite cat, they, too, would purr,’ Martin Buxbaum. (And again, the most adorable photo of a cat!)
And finally from me, ‘The smallest feline is a masterpiece,’ Leonardo Da Vinci
