Interview: Natalie Tolhopf talks about Become Unstoppable

Natalie Tolhopf is one of New Zealand’s top sales and mindset coaches. Over the last decade, she has coached hundreds of business owners to cultivate powerful self-belief and develop the confidence to sell with simplicity and success. Natalie talks to NZ Booklovers about her new book.

Tell us a little about Become Unstoppable.

Become Unstoppable is a book about quitting playing small, owning your expertise and elevating your business. It's about changing your mindset, learning to trust yourself and back yourself, and ultimately becoming unstoppable in achieving everything you desire.

What inspired you to write this book?

As a business coach, I saw so many of my clients struggling with self-doubt and comparison syndrome, which was holding them back from achieving their goals. I realized that I had also struggled with these issues in my own journey to building a successful business. I wanted to share my experience and insights to help others overcome these challenges and become the best version of themselves.

What research was involved?

I drew on my own experiences as well as the experiences of my clients in writing this book.

What was your routine or process when writing this book?

I set aside specific times each day to write, usually in the morning when my mind was fresh. I also made sure to take breaks and prioritize self-care to avoid burnout. I created an outline for each chapter and then fleshed out each section with personal anecdotes, research, and practical tips.

If a soundtrack was made to accompany this book, name a song or two you would include.

I would include "Unstoppable" by Sia. This song captures the spirit and energy of the book's message.

What did you enjoy the most about writing Become Unstoppable?

I enjoyed the process of reflecting on my own experiences and distilling the lessons I've learned into practical advice that can help others. It was also rewarding to see how my own struggles and triumphs resonated with readers and helped them overcome their own challenges.

What did you do to celebrate finishing this book?

I celebrated by taking myself on tour and bringing the books along with me! I am currently touring NZ!

What is the favorite book you have read so far this year and why?

I recently read "The Big Leap" by Gay Hendricks, which I found incredibly insightful and practical. The Big Leap is a powerful and insightful read for anyone looking to break free from their self-imposed limitations and unlock their full potential.

What’s next on the agenda for you?

I'm currently working on developing new coaching programs and courses to help business owners build their confidence and achieve their goals. I'm also planning to do more speaking engagements and workshops to share the message of the book with a wider audience.
