Rachel Rerekura is a writer, social worker, and former church leader who experienced clinical burnout, a condition that left her emotionally and physically exhausted. In this beautifully presented book, she shares her journey to recovery, a story grounded in the everyday yet also in God’s love.

Using the four seasons of nature as a lens, Rachel takes the reader on a journey which includes poetry and places for readers to journal their own thoughts and feelings. In Every Season is a well-constructed book that strikes the perfect balance between Rachel’s life story and struggles, as well as the invaluable lessons she learned during this time of healing and discovery.

This book would be very suitable for anyone suffering from burnout, or anyone at a crossroads in their lives who wants to restore balance and harmony. It’s insightful, gentle and practical. It would be a particularly invaluable book for anyone in a ministry role. The author speaks candidly about the challenges of having to slow down after living a life that had become too busy, which was bringing her down and taking her away from her true purpose. This will resonate with many of us as we try to fit in all the endless tasks in a day. In Every Season has a lovely aesthetic, too, and is slim enough to fit in a handbag for easy use.
