Deepen your self-love, nurture your relationships, find your voice and step into your mana. In Hononga (connection), life coach Tracy Many (Te Roroa and Ngāpuhi) shares simple practices and rituals that will help the reader deepen their connection with themselves, their relationships and the world around them.
Manu offers guidance for a more sustainable and loving way to live, anchored to Papatūānuku, and using real-life examples, rituals and exercises that encourages readers to see life as sacred, to be lived with joy.
Divided into three sections, Manu helps readers prepare, cultivate and weave to a more connected and authentic life. She provides a unique perspective, drawing on te ao Māori and Aotearoa's natural environment to support readers.
Manu is empowering, without being overbearing or too preachy, gently yet powerfully inspiring the reader to look within and make connections.
She does not lead you to an end point, but will inspire you to look for ways to connect in a holistic and meaningful way.
There is a nice touch within the book, with Manu including a QR code for readers to listen to the guided visualisations she discusses within the pages.
As Manu writes in her acknowledgements "the world needs more hononga". This is a beautiful book, engaging and inspiring. It is one that I will keep diving into, a reference book of sorts that will become part of my daily practice.
Hononga, both the book and the action, is something so desperately needed in this disconnected world.
