Fast Feasts by John Gregory-Smith

Fast Feasts is a fun, fabulous cookbook with loads of appeal. The photography is bright and colourful, and the recipes deliver on the promise of tasty, simple recipes with a Middle Eastern twist.

Standouts for me are the:

  • Shakshuka. Great for brunch or mid-week meal, the parsley over the top adds that extra something special.

  • Coconut Harissa Meatballs, that uses coconut milk and rose harissa.

  • Dukkah Chicken Schnitzel, a great twist on a brasserie classic.

  • Lebanese Chicken Traybake – a dish I just couldn’t go past!

  • Lemon Curd Cheesecake – amazingly, it only has five ingredients!

Other sections I loved in this book, was 5 ways to dress your salad, with five great suggestions. And 5 dips for dunking, again with inspired ideas.

I’d recommend this cookbook for its delicious, spicy comfort food beautifully packaged in this handsome hardback.
