dish SWEET by Sarah Tuck and Claire Aldous

Created to make life a little bit sweeter, dish SWEET is a gorgeous but practical book for creating baking and desserts, everything from cheesecake to something chocolatey or some delicious ice cream.

The recipes are from cookbook author and editor Sarah Tuck and food editor Claire Aldous, and the stunning photography is by Josh Griggs and Yuki Sato.

The book is divided into the following sections: Baking, Slices, Desserts, Tarts, Ice Creams, and Cheeky Little Extras, which include a variety of sauces, creams, spice mixes and custards.

There are so many fabulous dishes to make here, so if pushed to select a few, here are some mouthwatering recipes to enjoy:

  • Seedy Spiced Ginger and Pumpkin Loaf – it’s gluten-free and best served cut into thick slices.

  • Baked Cinnamon Sugar Doughnut Cakes – this recipe is a simple two-step method, so a good one to bake with the children in the family.

  • Chocolate Lamington Cake – just look at the stunning photo and you will definitely want to bake this cake!

  • Marbled Banana Loaf – so good for using over-ripe bananas and the swirls take this to the next level, visually and for taste.

  • Apple and Rhubarb Tray Bake – this is a versatile recipe that you can use berries or stonefruit instead, depending on the season.

  • White Chocolate, Rhubarb and Strawberry Cheesecake – beautifully indulgent!

  • Preserved Fig and Macadamia Cheesecake Tart – something really different and a taste sensation.

There are more than 100 recipes in this gorgeous cookbook, with delicious, sweet treats for all the family. Dish SWEET is a baking gem, and I predict if you like baking, this is a book you will return to again and again. Go buy a copy!
