Bruce Goes Outside by Kathryn van Beek

The second delightful picture book for young children by Kathryn van Beek, featuring internet sensation and real-life pussy cat, Bruce the Cat, is a heart-warming read with beautiful illustrations.

Kate's tiny kitten wants to go outside, but he struggles to use the cat flap, he is just too small to climb out and explore. But when he meows and meows, clearly wanting to go outside, Kate and her mother decide to let him out – but with a warning to keep away from their neighbour's place, as he doesn't like cats. At first, Bruce loves being outdoors, there is so much to see and explore. But then Bruce annoys a bird and ends up on the wrong side of the fence – so what will Kate do to help her cat?

The rhyming verse is a complete delight to read aloud and will entrance youngsters everywhere, and the illustrations are an even bigger delight, a visual feast for the eyes.

'Bruce the Cat' has thousands of fans on the internet, and he's sure to gain more fans with this warm and engaging picture book.
