A light and lovely ‘tail’ set in fictional Claw Haven, Alaska, the home of monsters and werewolves who seek peace and quiet. In Accidentally Wedded to a Werewolf, human heiress Luna Stack finds herself seeking refuge at Musgrove Inn when she becomes caught in a snowstorm, and she crashes her car into the Inn’s sign.
Luna is less than impressed when she enters the rundown Inn. She finds it cold, unwelcoming and littered with buckets catching drips from the ceiling. The Inn has obviously seen much better days. When the owner shows up, she considers him a grumpy jackass—although a Hot grumpy jackass.
Oliver Musgrove is the werewolf who is to eventually become the pack’s leader, but his life is not going to plan. While the rest of his family and friends party, he decides to get drunk on his own and drinks from a discovered bottle in a back room, only to find later that his guest, Luna, has also drunk from the bottle, and now they are bonded together in marriage. Things surely can’t get any worse. Or can they?
Luna is sunshine compared to Oliver’s grumpy moods, and thanks to the bonding, as much as Oliver wants to distance himself from the annoying woman, he keeps getting pulled back to her, and slowly she begins to grow on him. Unfortunately, nothing can come of the bond because as soon as the snow melts and the bond is broken, Luna will leave town and head back to her socialite life and the fiancé who is waiting for her.
Accidentally Wedded to a Werewolf is a fun monster/fantasy romance with some great side characters, plus lots of chocolate. I also enjoyed watching the two main characters grow and change during the story. This is the first book in a new series for this New Zealand author.
