This is a delightful picture book that will strike a chord with every family with young children!
The young dinosaur-loving protagonist blames many made-up creatures for the different messes in their home. There is a Messy-o-saurus, some Snivelling Snoo-galas, the Bouncing Boo-galas and the Two-horned Trumpeting Sea Rompster. It's unclear who the real culprit is until the very end!
I loved this charming book's superb rhythm and rhyme, as did the young children who helped me test this book. Scott Tulloch's colourful and fun illustrations help bring this book to life. Messy-o-saurus is the perfect blend of a terrific appealing, family-friendly idea, well-executed text and marvellous illustrations all coming together to create a book I predict will be a favourite in every home.
This is Rachel Weston's fifth book, the first a personal favourite, Bumblebees Have Smelly Feet. I can't wait to see what the talented Rachel writes next – she definitely has the enviable knack for writing fun and engaging picture books for young children!
