Mana of the Pacific: Wisdom from Across Oceania

I love everything about Mana from the Pacific, from its uplifting cover to the gorgeous photography and design and the inspirational quotes within. This beautiful hardback celebrates people’s resilience, strength, and innovation from across the Pacific, with wisdom sourced from places such as Vanuatu, Hawaii, Kiribati, Cook Islands, New Caledonia, Niue, Palau Papua New Guinea, Tokelau, Tonga, Samoa and Fiji.

Complied by Apisalome Movono and Regina Scheyvens, Mana of the Pacific demonstrates the many strengths of Pacific cultures. The book showcases them as caring, hard-working, family-orientated people, grounded in their culture and living sustainably and in tune with the natural and spiritual worlds.

This is what I’ve experienced on my many visits to some of the Pacific nations – it’s always been a time of connection with nature and loved ones, so much so that my husband and I decided on marrying on a Pacific Island.

The proverbs and imagery in this handsome hardback are genuinely inspirational and incredibly beautiful, and it showcases such wonderful customs and traditions and a lifestyle to be envious of.

Mana of the Pacific is an uplifting book that will be proudly displayed on the coffee table in my lounge from now on, bringing with it happy memories of days spent in the Pacific and the reminder that it’s good to live a life rooted in family, nature and culture.
