It's almost Mother's Day and Rāpeti and his friends are preparing something special to surprise their mums. The little bunny and his eclectic group of friends work together to create something to spoil their mothers.

This is the ninth adventure in the E Oma, Rāpeti - Run Rabbit bilingual series. Covering everything from Christmas to bedtime, baking to swimming, author Norah Wilson has created a lovely array of simple, yet sweet, stories.

There is a lovely little message within the story, with the children learning that the simplest ideas, crafted with love, can be the most appreciated.

Translated into te reo Māori by Pānia Papa, the book excels in helping families incorporate more reo into their lives. Each sentence structure is repeated multiple times to aid in learning. The sentences are also usable and practical. For families looking to boost the amount of reo they use every day, this series will make it easy. Almost every sentence is one that you will use, not only for Mother's Day but in everyday situations. For those looking to take a step up in their knowledge and ability, the repeated structures make it easy to adapt sentences.

Illustrator Kimberly Andrews brings Rāpeti's world to life with her warm and detailed artwork. Rāpeti and his friends bound across the page in delightful watercolour tones. They are simply adorable, and once again, Andrews knows how to create art that will capture her audience.

This is another lovely addition to an already impressive lineup. It is a charming bilingual series that is an excellent addition to any child's library.
