Just Desserts by Charlotte Ree

Charlotte Ree is an Instagram sensation with her beautiful dessert recipes, and also her love of puns. Just Desserts is her first book and it showcases 30 of Charlotte’s favourite recipes.

She has recipes for cakes, biscuits, slices and desserts, and here are just some of the standouts in this hardback:

Brown Butter and Salted Caramel Cookies. The brown butter adds a rich, nutty taste to these cookies.

Apple Crumble – a great, flawless recipe for first time bakers.

Layered Berry Pavlova – it looks like a work of art that way Charlotte has decorated her version, with edible gold leaf and gold dust.

Chocolate Buttermilk Cake – as a chocolate lover, need I say more!

Neapolitan Marble Cake – is delicious, and the key tip from Charlotte for this recipe is not to over-mix, or the colours won’t be as defined.

I have to flag up the gorgeous design and photography. It’s the most beautiful baking book I’ve ever seen, and would make an ideal gift to give to anyone you know who enjoys baking.

To quote Charlotte and a great pun, ‘You’d butter believe this is the only baking book you’ll ever need.’
