Australian author Liane Moriarty is set to be working alongside two of the film industries leading ladies. It has been announced that Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon’s production companies (Blossom Films and Pacific Standard respectively) have optioned the screen rights to Moriarty’s latest novel Big Little Lies.
Big Little Lies tells the story of three Australian mothers with children attending the same kindergarten. Their seemingly perfect lives begin to unravel after a mishap that eventually leads to murder. Moriarty, who also authored best sellers What Alice Forgot, Three Wishes, The Hypnotist’s Love Story and The Husband’s Secret, and all of her books have one thing in common. She will serve in a producing capacity on the film.
Kidman and Reese, both Oscar-winning actresses, are set to play two of the story’s mothers. The big question on everyone’s lips now is, “which of the mothers will they play?”
