The Crime reading community is being asked to unite in the fight against evil, as they help solve the mystery of the disappearance of crime writer James Patterson.
Patterson, the bestselling American crime writer, has gone missing, according to his publishers, Random House, and need his fans’ help to decipher the clues left on his Facebook page by super villain “Jane Doe.”
In this interactive adventure – a publishing first – Patterson’s characters Alex Cross, Lindsay Boxer, Michael Bennett and Jack Morgan will come to life, as they work alongside readers to decipher the daily clues left by Jane Doe on the Facebook page. If Patterson is not found at the end of the seventh day Jane Doe will act on her threat to kill off all his classic detective characters forever more, and instead he will write only about her.
Readers who discover Patterson’s final whereabouts will be in with a chance of winning fantastic prizes and one lucky investigator extraordinaire will be immortalized as a key character in a new James Patterson novel.
